We welcome you to Utah and especially the Moab area of Utah. We think you will enjoy your time with us.

Although the Show dates are the 12th through the 15th, you may want to "come early and stay late". There will be 4 Field Trips planned during the show. Activities will be starting possibly as soon as Thursday the 12th of October .

When the packets are sent out you will see there are many activities both during the day and evening.

Moab is a popular area to visit. Because it is so popular you should get your reservations in as early as possible. Spaces are limited.

We are including in this announcement a list of motels and campgrounds available in the area. If you have questions, please let us know.

UV Fluorescent Displays

Re Annual Show and Convention in Moab Utah in October. Show Chairman Dean Richardson has challenged me to get a large number of UV Fluorescent displays for the show.  He has offered to build a dark room adequate for our requirements. This will be a real opportunity to display your special minerals at a National Show, in a dark room. The display can be any UV category in the AFMS UNIFORM RULES , or non-competitive.  There will be a limited number of standard 2X4X2 ft cases available that can be finished with a black liner.

As a promotional item UVP INC has agreed to provide a limited number of the new 25/25 watt Lw/Sw or the 50 watt Sw display lights for our use if needed.  Request must be received by Chet Hazelwood prior to 1 Sep 2000.   Applications and show information may be obtained from:
